The sponsorship workshop will consist of a panel of 6 recovered sex addicts from the SAA Primary Purpose Group who have experience sponsoring others. Each panel member will speak for 10 minutes on a particular topic related to sponsorship. They will include in their presentation a selected quote or passage from the Big Book of AA that illustrates their individual sponsorship topic. After this hour of instruction, there will be a 30-minute period of answering questions by attendees.

Topics covered will include:

• qualifying a sponsee (determining sponsee readiness, willingness, and program prioritization)
• how to clearly outline sponsorship objectives, expectations, and requirements with sponsees
• maintaining work/life balance
• navigating boundaries and sponsee overdependence
• sponsee relapses & procrastination
• transitioning from sponsee to fellow
